Why Oxfordshire dogs need something specific
Building brilliant foundations for Oxfordshire dogs
Puppy training is a big part of what we do here. We work on everything from engagement and focus to lead walking, boundaries and general obedience, helping young dogs develop good habits before unwanted ones have the chance to become established.
We also see plenty of adolescent and adult dogs needing help with impulse control and reliable recall. Whether your dog struggles to switch off, gets overexcited around distractions or suddenly develops selective hearing when something more interesting appears, we build their training progressively and show you how to continue that work at home.
What we work on most here
- Puppy training and building strong foundations
- General obedience and everyday manners
- Impulse control around distractions
- Reliable recall and owner engagement

Oxfordshire questions
Residential dog training in Oxfordshire: FAQs
Straight answers. Anything else, ask us in the booking form.
Where is your Oxfordshire training centre?
Our Oxfordshire centre is a fully licensed kennel facility in the county. We share the exact address and drop-off details when you book. Call 0203 924 0962 with your postcode and we will confirm availability for your dates.
Do you train working breeds and gundogs?
Yes. Our Advanced / Working Breeds course (a 3-week, 19-day stay with 15 training days) is the one we usually recommend for high-drive working breeds and more specific behavioural issues, and it includes general obedience.
Can you train my dog to be calm around sheep?
Being steady around livestock rests on impulse control, a solid leave and recall around distractions, all of which we train. At the handover we will also show you how to use a lead around farm animals while that training beds in, which is what the Countryside Code asks of every dog owner.
How much does residential dog training cost in Oxfordshire?
The same as at all our centres: from £745 per week, fully inclusive, with a non-refundable deposit to secure your dates.
Does my dog need to be vaccinated?
Yes. In line with UK law, any dog staying at a kennels must be checked in with proof of up-to-date vaccinations. Please bring your dog’s vaccination record: without it, we cannot accept your dog onto the course.
Do I really get a lifetime of training and support?
Quite simply, yes. Any dog that has attended one of our residential courses is entitled to a lifetime of free support from our team. After a 5-day stay that is digital support by email or phone; after 10 days or more it includes one-to-one sessions back at the facility with your trainer. Compare that with a few sessions with a local trainer.
